The Rugged Grenadier SUVs Will Roll into Crown’s Newest Dealership: Crown INEOS Grenadier
St. Petersburg, FL (September 28, 2023)
Crown Automotive Group is adding to its extensive portfolio of automotive dealerships as one of 20 companies selected in the U.S. to represent INEOS Grenadier as the brand starts its U.S. operations.
INEOS Chairman and CEO Sir Jim Ratcliffe noted that as car manufacturers are building luxury SUVs built more for on-road features than off-road capability, the idea for the Grenadier was born. Recognizing a gap between luxury brands and a seriously capable and durable 4x4, the philosophy for the Grenadier was function over form. The engineering-led approach to the rugged exterior design followed in the tire tracks of some of history’s most iconic 4x4 off-road vehicles. Designers noted that the off roader has capability at its core and that every decision was made with precision and functionality in mind. The 3.0-liter turbocharged in-line 6 powertrain is paired with an 8-speed automatic and four-wheel-drive system with a 2-speed transfer case.

Crown Automotive Group owner and dealer principal Kevin Hawkins test-drove the vehicle for himself. During the visit, he noted the capability of the Grenadier in handling every challenge imaginable. He drove the new 4x4 to make sure every owner is comfortable in knowing that their Grenadier is ready for any challenge encountered, whether on or off road. As he learned more about the vehicle, Hawkins also learned about the guiding philosophies of INEOS and how they closely mirrored those of his own automotive group.
