CROWN AUTOMOTIVE GROUP FOUNDER DWAYNE HAWKINS TO BE INDUCTED INTO FLORIDA AUTOMOTIVE DEALERS ASSOCIATION (FADA) HALL OF FAME POSTHUMOUSLY

Crown Automotive Group Founder Dwayne Hawkins will be honored posthumously as a 2023 member of the Florida Automotive Dealers Association (FADA) Hall of Fame. Hawkins started Crown Automotive Group in St. Petersburg, Florida in 1969 as a single auto dealership that focused on the importance of relationships- -from customers to employees. Because of his commitment, Crown Automotive Group is one of the nation’s largest privately owned dealership companies with a workforce of over 1,100 individuals spanning several states.
Hawkins exceptional business acumen was seconded by his distinguished commitment to philanthropy. Hawkins was active with the Pinellas Education Foundation and the Moffitt Cancer Center Foundation. Prior to his passing in 2020 at the age of 85, Hawkins contributions earned him a nomination for the prestigious TIME Dealer of the Year, a true testament to his industry leadership and customer-centric approach. Hawkins is also a member of the Tampa Bay Business Hall of Fame.
In announcing the selection of Hawkins to the FADA Hall of Fame, the statewide association noted Hawkins’ “…contributions to the business landscape and his community were acknowledged and celebrated by peers and admirers alike.”
