Crown Automotive Group Wins “Good ‘Burger” Award for Cool Companies - Large

The Crown Automotive Group, an auto group with dealerships throughout St. Petersburg, recently received the “Good ‘Burger” Award for Cool Companies - Large, highlighting its impact on the St. Petersburg community as a whole.

ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA –- The Crown Automotive Group is proud to announce that it recently won a “Good ‘Burger” Award from the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce.

The “Good ‘Burger” Awards are given out to the local St. Petersburg businesses and individuals who have a positive influence and impact on the community and its residents. This year, the Crown Automotive Group earned the award for the “Cool Companies” category for large companies with more than 101 employees.

More than 130 companies and individuals were nominated across ten different categories, after which St. Petersburg residents were able to vote online for the winners.

“The Good ‘Burger Awards, now in its second year, allows us to reflect on those members who stood out in the community over this past year as having a significant impact in our Sunshine City,” said Chris Steinocher, President and CEO of the St. Petersburg Area Chamber of Commerce, in a press release.

The entire staff at the Crown Automotive Group is proud to be recognized by the “Good ‘Burger” Awards.

“It was truly an honor to be nominated and it’s even more of an honor to win this award,” said Jim Myers, President and Chief Operating Officer of Crown Automotive Group. “As a company, we believe that our involvement in the St. Petersburg community incredibly important, and being recognized for that commitment reinforces that belief.”

The “Good ‘Burger” Awards ceremony was held on Thursday, August 28th from 6:00-9:00 p.m. at Jannus Live in St. Petersburg. The Crown Automotive Group was among ten winners.




Crown Hyundai Donates to St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital Through Hyundai Hope on Wheels

The Bay Area Hyundai Dealers, including Crown Hyundai in St. Petersburg, raised $75,000 to donate to the St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital Foundation through Hyundai Hope on Wheels.

ST. PETERSBURG, FLORIDA –- The entire Crown Automotive Group is committed to making a positive impact on the community, and Crown Hyundai in St. Petersburg is no exception. The dealership, along with other Bay Area Hyundai Dealers, recently raised $75,000 to donate to St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital through Hyundai Hope on Wheels.

The donation came in the form of the Hyundai Young Investigators Clinical Award, granted to the St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital Foundation thanks to the work of Dr. Erin Cockrell and the St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital’s Pediatric Psychosocial Oncology Patient Navigator Pilot Program.

The Bay Area Hyundai Dealers also donated eight iPad tablets for the children in the St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital Pediatric Cancer Ward to use.

“St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital is an incredible organization, and a cause we truly believe in,” said G.R. Tarr, General Manager of Crown Hyundai in St. Petersburg. “It’s always an honor to be involved with Hyundai Hope on Wheels, and we’re thankful for the opportunity to do our part.”

The award, which will assist the hospital in helping and supporting young patients with cancer and their families, was presented at the Hope on Wheels Signature Handprint Ceremony at the hospital on Thursday, August 28, 2014.

Crown Hyundai, as well as the rest of the Crown Automotive Group, participates in charitable endeavors like this throughout the year that benefit residents of the St. Petersburg community and the surrounding areas. The Hyundai Hope on Wheels organization has contributed $699,230 to the St. Joseph’s Children’s Hospital Foundation since 2006.
